H M Sheridan is a butchery which has held Royal Warrants for Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Prince of Wales, Duke of Rothesay, since 1987.
Michael Sheridan’s first store, back in 1963, was a converted garage and his shop, a mobile van. He opened a shop in Ballater, Royal Deeside and in 1979, moved into the current location in Ballater, which had been a butchery for more than 120 years.
Michael Sheridan died in 2006, but not before bequeathing his business to two employees, John Sinclair and Barry Florence, who continue the legacy.
H M Sheridan is a member of both The Scottish Butchers Club (run by Quality Meat Scotland) https://www.qmscotland.co.uk/campaigns/butchers and Scottish Craft Butchers https://craftbutchers.co.uk/index.php
All beef sold by H M Sheridan, is purchased from Aberdeenshire farms and matured for 21 days. The heather-fed lamb and outdoor-reared pork, come from local Aberdeenshire farms, also.
H M Sheridan sells wild venison from a local estate as well as pheasant and other game, in season. Our first grouse, from H M Sheridan, didn’t disappoint.
