Guinea fowl or guineafowl originated in Africa, where they can still be found in the wild.

Guinea fowl is not a bird which can be found easily in most British supermarkets. Waitrose and Ocado sell Waitrose free range whole guinea fowl with a minimum weight of 900g, for around 8.99
